Cookie Notice
Last updated: 10 July 2026
1. Overview
This Cookie Notice explains how EduSynthLab Inc. ("we," "us") uses cookies and similar browser technologies on edusynthlab.life. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which describes our broader personal information practices under PIPEDA and the British Columbia Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA BC).
We take a minimal approach: this Site does not use advertising cookies, social media trackers, or third-party analytics platforms that follow you across the web.
2. What are cookies and local storage?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. Local storage is a browser feature that lets websites save data persistently on your device. Both can remember preferences between visits. Session cookies expire when you close your browser; persistent cookies remain until they expire or you delete them.
3. What we use on this Site
3.1 Essential local storage — cookie consent
Name: esl_cookie_consent (local storage key)
Purpose: Records whether you accepted or declined the cookie banner so we do not show it on every page load.
Duration: Until you clear site data or delete the key manually.
Provider: EduSynthLab Inc. (first party)
This storage is strictly necessary to honour your choice about the banner itself. It does not track browsing behaviour or identify you across other websites.
3.2 Server and security logs
Our hosting infrastructure may set short-lived session identifiers or security tokens to protect against cross-site request forgery and maintain connection integrity. These are operational, not marketing, tools. Details vary by hosting configuration and are not used to profile visitors.
4. What we do not use
As of the date above, we do not deploy:
- Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or comparable behavioural analytics scripts;
- Retargeting or remarketing cookies;
- Social media embed trackers;
- Third-party advertising networks.
If this changes, we will update this notice and request consent where required before enabling non-essential cookies.
5. Your choices
When the cookie banner appears, you may click Accept or Decline. Either choice stores your preference in local storage and dismisses the banner. Declining does not block access to the Site because we do not gate content behind non-essential cookies.
You can also manage storage through your browser settings. Most browsers let you delete local storage, block third-party cookies, or clear all site data for edusynthlab.life. Consult your browser's help documentation for steps — Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge each place these controls under privacy or site settings.
Blocking all local storage may cause the cookie banner to reappear on each visit. Essential Site functions will continue to work.
6. "Do Not Track" signals
Some browsers transmit "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals. Because no single Canadian standard governs DNT interpretation, we do not alter Site behaviour in response to DNT signals beyond the minimal data practices described here.
9. Relationship to PIPEDA and PIPA BC
Cookie consent preferences may constitute personal information when linked to other identifiers in server logs. We treat banner interactions in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Declining non-essential cookies — of which there are currently none beyond the consent storage itself — does not affect your statutory rights under Canadian privacy law.
10. Updates
We review this notice when we change Site technology. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent revision. Continued use after an update constitutes acknowledgment of the revised notice.
