Questions we hear before the first workshop
Straight answers about what EduSynthLab is — and what it is not. If your question is not here, email [email protected].
-
No. We are an AI education content and assessment R&D lab. The
.lifeTLD is branding only; “Synth” means synthesizing learning content and questions with AI (generative), not audio synthesizers and not “synthetic data” only; “Lab” means an education R&D studio, not a chemistry laboratory. We are not accredited and grant no degrees. We build content and assessment engines with academic-integrity guardrails and educator review — we do not build essay-writing, homework-cheating, or detection-evasion tools. AI can be inaccurate or biased, so educators check every output, and we protect student data under PIPEDA and PIPA BC. We do not guarantee grades, test scores, admissions, certifications, graduation, employment, salary, or any specific learning outcome. -
You do. Contract language assigns all deliverables, knowledge graphs, and custom pipeline configurations to the client upon final payment. We retain no licence to resell your materials to other organizations. Internal tooling and general methodologies remain ours, but anything built from your source corpus belongs to you.
-
Three layers: a prerequisite knowledge graph that constrains topic scope, retrieval grounded in your approved documents, and educator review before delivery. Automated checks flag unsupported claims and missing citations. No batch ships without human sign-off from a subject-matter expert on our team or yours.

Ranges vary by practice area — see our services page for CAD benchmarks. A focused pilot often lands between $15,000 and $35,000. Multi-strand curriculum builds run higher. We provide fixed-price quotes after a scoping call, not open-ended hourly billing without caps.
-
Only when a project explicitly requires it — for example, analytics dashboards fed by LMS data. In those cases we follow PIPEDA and PIPA BC requirements, execute data processing agreements, and default to Canadian data residency. Contact form submissions are handled separately under our Privacy Policy.
-
Yes. We routinely export to SCORM, deliver HTML blocks for Canvas, and integrate via LTI with Moodle and D2L Brightspace. Tell us your platform during intake and we will confirm compatibility before quoting.
-
Most pilots run eight to fourteen weeks from signed scope to deliverable review. Graph mapping consumes the first two weeks. Generation and review cycles fill the middle. Final packaging and governance documentation close the engagement.
-
General-purpose chat tools accept any prompt and return unverified prose. We build constrained pipelines tied to your approved sources and a mapped knowledge graph, then route every batch through credentialed educator review. Outputs include citation trails, outcome tags, and governance documentation — artefacts a procurement committee can evaluate. We are a project lab, not a browser tab.
-
Yes. We work with organizations across Canada. Privacy documentation addresses both federal PIPEDA and provincial requirements where applicable. Remote workshops cover discovery and review; on-site visits are available for Lower Mainland clients.
